From Friday evening to Sunday, or just part of the weekend, YDYD engages in an interactive, youth-to-youth program which takes place in the churches. YDYD endeavors to revive and inspire true godliness by showing the importance and the benefits of service. To accomplish this, we specialize in five areas:
- Deep Bible Study: Personal Bible study is essential to the Christian. In these workshops we focus on the importance of Bible study in the Christian life, practical methods of study, and how to simply share one’s faith with others.
- God’s Call to the Youth: We believe that God is now raising up His army of youth, and that He is calling young people today to give their lives wholly to a most rewarding cause. This presentation shows, in the light of the Great Controversy, what place God has for each one of us as youth.
- The Power of Prayer: In today’s world prayer is very misunderstood and many times made so complicated. In this interactive presentation we endeavor to show the simplicity of prayer in talking to God as to a friend, and the necessity and privilege of prayer.
- Health Training: As the right arm of the gospel, the health message is an invaluable tool for evangelism. In our endeavor to teach simple, practical health outreach, we offer workshops on home remedies, massage & hydrotherapy, as well as train the youth how to do a health expo, while the assisting them to host one the very same day.
- Outreach: True faith leads to action. An important part of our weekend program is hands-on outreach training. Young people get to experience frontline work in going door to door gaining Bible study interests and praying with people. This results in not only lighting their fire for service, but also in gaining contacts for the church to followup on which the youth can help with.
Expenditures:
YDYD does not charge a fee for hosting the program. We do, however, ask for the following expenses to be covered:
- Travel costs
- Meals
- Lodging
